Who’s talking about Nuu-Muu? Well, Women's Running Magazine for one. In their March/April 2010 Issue, they give Nuu-Muu a positive review in their piece on running dresses, pairing us up with Athleta and SkirtSports:
"A modern incarnation of the Hawaiian muumuu, Nuu-Muu's short, sporty dresses are designed for active living. LIke their muumuu cousins, they're non-constrictive, but with the added plus of stretch, a flattering A-line silhouette and slick, quick-drying polyester. With no built-in bras or briefs, tailor your undergarment support needs for your activity, body shape and size. Bonus: They're made in the U.S.A." - Women's Running Magazine
And one of our favorite women-only stores (Outdoor Divas in CO) has this to say:
"Nuu-Muu is already getting rave reviews from customers…outdoorDIVAS is excited to carry and support a company that was founded by active and real women. The simplicity of the Nuu-Muu dresses makes them not only super flattering but extremely versatile…Explore, run or bike in comfort without worrying how your body looks or how you are performing. Feel confident, sassy and good about who you are and the healthy lifestyle you are choosing to live as a strong woman." - OutdoorDIVAS blog
Although they appreciated the fashion more than the functionality, 2 of 3 Backpacker editors give Nuu-Muu a thumbs up!
Senior Editor Tracy Ross:"…it's cute, whimsical and fun, so thumbs up." - Backpacker Magazine
Senior Associate Photo Editor Genny Wright Fullerton: " It's fun, and with all those winter hiking tights that are way too tight to wear as pants, it's perfect to cover up a bit...it allows me to wear one layer of pants without having to layer with a shell pant when I don't want just skin-tight tights..... give it a big thumbs-up. I would wear it anywhere that I feel like being pretty. "
